Config Autoplay is a simple software utility that provides control over which device types are set to autoplay under Windows. If autoplay is enabled for removable drives, Windows Explorer displays the handheld’s folder contents when you plug in your digital handheld recorder. The same is true for any other removable device such as USB flash drives.
If you want to change this behavior, download and run the Config Autoplay program and you will see the window below. Uncheck "Enable Removable" and click close. After you restart the computer, the handheld will no longer display Windows Explorer when the handheld is plugged in. To re-enable the autoplay function, simply run the program and check "Enable Removable". Changes to the autoplay settings take effect after the computer is restarted.
Autoplay settings for fixed drives, network drives, CD/DVD drives and RAM drives may also be set by checking or unchecking the appropriate boxes.

Config Autoplay is provided free of charge.
